Captured Tails

Hi, I’m Tatum — a mom, adventurer, lifelong dog lover, and creative spirit with a deep love for the outdoors and a camera always close by.
Dogs have been my anchor since childhood. Growing up in an unstable home, their quiet companionship offered the comfort and loyalty I needed to get through tough times. That deep bond sparked a lifelong passion, leading me into veterinary medicine. I became a certified veterinary assistant and spent years working as an ICU vet tech, equine vet tech, and farm veterinary assistant and supervisor. Later, after a move with my family, I became a certified farrier and worked in the field for over a year.
Eventually, I made the decision to step away from veterinary work to be a full-time stay-at-home mom. Life is just as busy—maybe even more so—but now I get to focus on what truly fills my soul: dogs, creativity, adventure, and being present for my daughter.
Today, I channel my energy into dog training and dog sports, which have become such a joyful part of our lives. I love helping others build deeper bonds with their dogs through fun, movement, and shared experiences.
I’ve also rediscovered my love for pottery—something that allows me to slow down and create with my hands. While I don't do it professionally, it's one of those quiet joys I hope to weave into this journey over time. Alongside pottery, I explore photography, capturing those everyday magic moments—whether it’s my daughter chasing her passions in sports and music, or our golden retriever kicking up dirt on a trail.
The outdoors remains our happy place. I grew up hiking, camping, and fishing, and now I share that love of nature with my family and dogs. Whether we're road-tripping to new destinations, playing in the backyard, or getting muddy at a dog event, every moment is an opportunity to connect, recharge, and create memories.

WELCOME
